Social Media Marketing Campaign
November 14, 2012 by Mechelle
Everyone one is in agreement that social media is the best way to market your online shop. And I for one agree, but just how do you do it. There are so many social media sites that you can’t get to them all in one day especially if you work an outside the home. Here’s a list and it’s not even a complete list.
There are online markets/shops:
Amazon
Etsy
Shopinterest
LilyShop
Handmadeology Marketplace
Zibbett
Artfire
Bonanza
Ecrater and More
Then there are places to share items like:
Wanelo
Flickr
Google+
Ning
Rebelmouse
Tumblr
Stumbleupon
Squidoo
Kaboodle
Spreeworks
Picasa
Yola
Delicious
Orkut
Just to name a few.
Well to tell you the truth I have joined most of them but I just can’t get them all in a day if I do it one by one. So I had to devise a plan on when I will update and how long can I stay on each time.
I want to keep all of my sites so I made a plan on which ones will be updated everyday, twice a week, once a week and monthly.
I getting away from our original subject and that’s how to do a marketing campaign with social media.
I have made my 28-day social media marketing campaign to use during this holiday season. So starting on November 19 – December 17, 2012 I will implement my plan.
If you plan to join me, you’ll need a ledger booklet that has at least 6 column. You’ll need to have your social media sites up and running. Then you’ll need to set aside 1-2 hours a day to work on it. You’ll also need a holiday banner for your shop advertising Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. And any other holiday like Christmas banner and New Years banner. Especially if you want to have a sale or just bring attention to your shop. I’m not going to tell you how to run your sales or specials, that will be totally yours but if you need assistance i may can help.
Also join teams on Etsy if you can because that’s inside marketing. I belong to 27 teams. Some I’m very active and others I just visit once a day or ever other day. For the most part I check in about once a day. All this is listed on my ledger page so I don’t miss anyone or anything.
The six columns up top are used to place your days of the week. I rest on Sundays, football and all. Place your shops on one page, your social media sites on another, your teams on one, and your blog on one. Then I schedule days and times to get it done. The assignments for my blog might look something like this, new arrivals, weekly projects, pattern reviews, meet and greet, new arrivals, contests and giveaways, shop announcements, and so on. Then I square in the days it will be done. I try to spread my projects over the week so as not to overwhelm myself.
I’ll stop here. Read over this page until it sinks in. I’ll be back tomorrow.
